AVPolice.com Goes Live

Posted June 12th, 2012 in Business Information Systems (BIS), News, Web Development by Matt

AV Police is the first and only independent audiovisual system evaluation service. Designed for end users, audiovisual integrators and consultants, AVPolice.com is a self-serve resource for evaluating professional AV installations of all types. It’s an online service that’s available anytime from anywhere.

The website works by prompting the user to define their project by adding rooms and selecting audiovisual and control devices from ready-made lists. The user is then asked a series of questions about each room and device. Lastly, the system scores the project and presents the opportunity to purchase a comprehensive report that includes detailed scoring and identifies areas for improvement.

The website is a hybrid project that includes both publicly available content and secured-access pages. Users create an account that provides them personalized access to only their projects and reports. Users have the opportunity to evaluate systems at their own pace by working on them a little at a time and returning at any time to continue. Their progress is automatically saved as they use the site so there’s no concern that data will be lost if their connection drops or if they forget to hit the save button.
