I know it’s hard to believe, but this is actually the opening line of a commercial for a mass-market website service where you can build your own website. And I laugh every time I see their commercials. Continue reading “You Need a Website. Why Not Do it Yourself?” »
One of the first steps to effectively connecting with your target market involves setting up a website. Yet this is still an action that approximately one-half of small business owners don’t take according to one 350-business survey.
For the sake of argument, let’s say that you’re in the half that does value the importance of cultivating a professional online presence. We recently began working with a new startup in Encinitas. The owner is just starting to put the pieces of her new company together, but she knew right away that a professional logo and website are top priorities. She understands the importance of having a clean, industry appropriate logo design and a strong web presence.
We have a number of clients in Encinitas for whom we’ve developed websites, handled their digital marketing and SEO, and more. But it’s been a while since we connected with a startup in Encinitas. Over the past few years most of our Encinitas web design clients have been small, but more established, with most having at least a few years behind them. Fallbrook is strategically located at the far north edge of North County, San Diego, and just south of the Riverside County border and Temecula. Fallbrook is close to Interstate 15, a major thoroughfare for shipping and receiving. As such, Fallbrook has turned out to be a great place for many small businesses to thrive.
Although commonly thought of as a small community, Fallbrook is actually about a third the size of Temecula in terms of population. Not that small. Fallbrook is home to many small businesses that have planted roots and the community is made up of homeowners who remain in the same home longer than the national average, indicating that the area sees lower population turnover. All this adds up to Fallbrook being an ideal location for small businesses to grow. Continue reading “Partnering with Small Businesses in Fallbrook for Web Design and Digital Marketing” »
Modmacro had another great showing at an international communications competition! This time, it was the AVA Digital Awards, which is put on by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. We earned three Platinum awards (the highest honor in the competition), as well as six Gold awards, and three Honorable Mentions.
As the name implies, the AVA Digital Awards recognize creative professionals who achieve excellence in digital communications such as websites, social media, and audio and video production. Most of Modmacro’s awards came in the website categories, but we also received recognition in the Information Video category, as well as the Facebook Presence category. New business owners or owners of small businesses often don’t have the budget for the website of their dreams, but still need a clean, professional web presence to establish credibility. Enter the microsite. Our microsites often include just two or three pages, and contain much of the information that would be found on a full-scale website, just more condensed. So, for example, instead of an About page, you would have an About paragraph. Continue reading “Microsite Web Design for Budget-Minded Small Business Owners” »
Although we provide award-winning web design and digital marketing services for small businesses and non-profits around the county, it’s nice to work with locals here in the Temecula Valley area as well.
